Benefits and Properties: Lemongrass is a diuretic, a digestive aid, and very popular both as a tea and as a refresco (soft drink served cool) in the Peruvian Amazon. Use a carrier oil to help the aroma stay fixed for longer.
About the Plant: Lemongrass is a clumping grass native to Southeast Asia, but now planted and naturalized throughout the tropics worldwide. A few blades of the grass make a wonderful tea, or flavoring for a variety of dishes and desserts.
